Travel to Moyo Island

Moyo is a small island located off the northern coast of Sumbawa in Indonesia (lower center in map above).

Flying from Denpasar, Bali, on the Indonesian domestic carrier Merpati, we approach the island of Sumbawa (above).

Moyo Island has a population of only 6000, and contains a large nature reserve administered by Sumbawa. Amanwana is located within this reserve. Our Merapati flight from Bali landed in Sumbawa Besar.

We were met at the airport and transferred to Amanwana on the Aman-XX, a well appointed 65-foot motor cruiser.
