Scenes from the 2002 Fall mineral show

With the remains of tropical storm Isadore clearing out late on Friday night, we were treated to two gorgeous days for show weekend this year.

Attendance was up slightly from 2001, and specimens from several old Franklin collections were being offered for sale. Some of the photos below were kindly provided by Maureen Verbeek.

A fine start to the Show early Saturday morning..

..with all sorts of folks turning up to see what's available.

A well-known collector's car, as found early Saturday morning at 'The Pond'. One can only imagine what this vehicle looks like with both he & rocks inside as well!
