Photographs from the exhibits

Every year members of the Franklin-Ogdensburg Mineralogical Society prepare a special exhibit of Franklin-Sterling fluorescent minerals for the annual fall Franklin Mineral Show held in Franklin, New Jersey.

Some of the finest specimens of these minerals are exhibited in display cases lit by ultraviolet light in a specially darkened room, providing a spectacular sight for visitors. These pages include photographs taken of some of the exhibits presented at the 1998 Franklin Mineral Show.

The Website author would like to thank Dick Bostwick, Tema Hecht, the custodial staff of the Franklin School, and the exhibitors for facilitating this photo presentation.

All specimens were exhibited in regulation 2 foot by 4 foot cases. Please use the case width as a guide to judging sample size. All cases shown are illuminated with short-wave ultraviolet light, except Richard Bostwick's, which included a mid-range ultraviolet light in addition to short-wave.
