Domeykite, a copper arsenide mineral, was first described from Franklin by Burke and Dunn (1988), but it has not been reported from Sterling Hill. It occurs intimately associated with cuprostibite, copper, and lead within gray willemite. The assemblage is limited to areas in the willemite which have inclusions of Mg-silicates (diopside, serpentine, chlorite, and mica). Domeykite grains are irregular and interlocked with cuprostibite and copper; maximum grain size is 30 microns. Microprobe analysis yielded Cu 71.3, As 28.2, total 99.5 wt. %.
