Monoclinic
Magnesiohornblende, a calcium magnesium aluminum silicate hydroxide mineral of the amphibole group, has been found in several specimens from Sterling Hill; it has not been reported from Franklin. It occurs as dark green, massive material with titanite and calcite from the 1140 crosscut, on the 1500 level and as dark brown masses with calcite from the 1250 stope, 800 level. Representative analyses are given in Table 12.
