Memorial by Prof. Clifford Frondel

Included here is a memorial written by Professor Clifford Frondel; some unpublished autobiographical notes; an unpublished journal titled "Six Weeks in the Saddle", chronicling an 1889 trip into the hills of California while an undergraduate; letters home to his fiancée and family during the Harriman Expedition to Alaska in 1899; and "Grannie & Grandpa", reminiscences of Charles and Helen Palache by their granddaughter, Judith Palache Gregory.

The previously unpublished notes, correspondence and photographs were kindly provided for this Website by Judith Palache Gregory, who retains all rights. The Memorial is Copyright © by the Mineralogical Society of America and appears here by permission.
